About Perfect Beginnings

Perfect Beginnings has been in the business of helping wedding dreams become reality for over 30 years.

During that time, I have planned and coordinated every type of ceremony celebrating love and commitment – from ultra casual to ultra formal; from commitment ceremonies to phenomenal weddings to vow renewals.

I got into the business after attending a wedding where I watched both the bride and her mother run around throughout the entire event trying to coordinate the photographer, videographer, DJ, dances, cake cutting and more. By the end of the wedding, they were both exhausted and frazzled – and neither one had enjoyed any of this day they had worked so hard on.

Having a professional wedding coordinator on your special day is a necessity, not a luxury.

We are committed to making your day everything you ever envisioned.

With over 30 years experience in wedding planning and coordination, it is my job to far surpass your expectations and ensure you have amazing memories that last a lifetime.

Perfect Beginnings coordinated my July wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the results.

Torie was so organized with the planning, yet made it seem effortless and fun. She was able to tailor the experience to what we wanted, helping us decide where to put more or less of our time or resources.

Most importantly, she was on top of her game ALL day on the wedding day! As the bride, I had full confidence that everything was taken care of and I was aware of ZERO problems because any small issue was handled immediately by Torie!

We had an incredible day - it looked and felt perfect, and everything ran smoothly. Torie goes above and beyond.

Looking back, I don't know how I would have done it all without Torie. I strongly recommend working with her - whether you are completely DIY or wanting an all-inclusive day, she will make it happen and fit it in your budget. - KRISSY T.

Perfect Beginnings/Torie Daves.....
We began our journey thinking 'we got this'  - we don't need a wedding coordinator. We could not have been more wrong! Torie was a godsend, the first time we met I kept saying oh my...I didn't even think of that. Torie served as coordinator for my son's December wedding and as I look back on that perfect day I cannot imagine having done it with out her! From our initial meeting to  her helping at the final hour, she went above and beyond! I highly recommend Torie Daves!! - CATHERINE L.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why should I hire a wedding coordinator?

There are so many logistics and details that need to be attended to the day of the wedding, and putting that burden on a parent, a bridal party member or a friend means they will miss out on sharing your day with you because they will be trying to stay on top of everything that is going on “behind the scenes”. When you hire a wedding coordinator who is an expert in everything that has to happen the day of the wedding, the only thing you, your family and friends have to do is soak in every moment of the day.

2. Do you get kickbacks from the vendors you refer?

Never. If a vendor is willing to reduce their fee because of the referral, then we pass that savings on to you. We only recommend vendors with whom we have worked and whose product and service we found to be exemplary. The vendors we recommend fall into a wide fee structure to ensure they can fit into just about everyone’s budget.

3. Do you charge for meetings and consultations?

We offer two meetings for free – typically an initial consultation to discuss what you are looking for and then a second meeting to do a walkthrough at the venue, You can also have as many phone conversations and email exchanges as you would like, also at no charge.

4. Do you charge a flat fee or an hourly fee?

I charge an hourly fee. $50 an hour for the rehearsal and $75 an hour for the day-of coordination. We firmly believe in giving exemplary service at a fair and reasonable price.

5. What types of weddings have you done in the past?

For over 30 years, we have done traditional weddings, LGBT weddings/commitment ceremonies and vow renewals for as few as 10 people and as many as several hundred. We have done weddings/receptions in churches, temples, parks, mansions, restaurants, clubs, resorts, hotels, on the beach and more! From super casual to ultra-formal, we have handled it all.

6. Are you willing to travel?

Absolutely! Additional fees may apply to cover travel expenses. As the song goes, “where you lead, I will follow”!
